Day 1

Golconda Fort, Charminar

The Golconda Fort is considered as the Jewel on the crown for Hyderabad holiday packages. Situated at the western part of the town and constructed in the 16th century this fort was built at an altitude of 120-metre-high hill made of granite and is totally 11 kilometres long. From the top of the fort you can view the stunning foothills of the Deccan plateau and the old city of Hyderabad. The prime landmark of Hyderabad is the Charminar which was constructed by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in the year 1951. It was built to commemorate the origin of the city of Hyderabad and to celebrate the ending of Golconda’s water shortage epidemic. This structure is 56 meters high and has four gigantic columns with minarets on top of each column and that is how its name is derived – Charminar which means ‘four minarets.

Day 2

Buddha Statue and Hussain Sagar Lake

Standing majestically on a pedestal in the Hussain Sagar lake is this stone statue of Buddha standing tall at 18 metres height. Dalai Lama is said to have blessed this monument in the year 2006. This statue is illuminated and is a beautiful sight at night surrounded by the man-made Hussain Sagar lake created by Qutb Shah.

Day 3

Ramoji Film City, NTR Gardens

It is a well-known fact that the Telugu movie industry “Tollywood” is a massive industry and their movies are nothing short of grandeur, so is this Ramoji Film City on the outskirts of Hyderabad where most of the TV shows and films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages are shot. You can obtain a day pass which also includes a complete bus tour of the 6.7 square kilometre property, many different shows and the fun rides. The NTR Garden were built in memory of the famous celebrity and popular chief minister of the state N T Rama Rao. Spanning over 36 acres, this garden has a lot of entertainment for adults as well as kids such as the Japanese Gardens, fountains, Boats rides, children’s play area, mini train which takes the visitors around the garden, and the recently launched Desert Garden inside the NTR Gardens.
